We’re small,
Building something big.
ShotMark is rethinking how bugs get captured and handed to AI agents. We’re early-stage, opinionated, and looking for people who care deeply about developer experience.

Principles we hire for, and against.
These aren’t values posters. They’re the filters we use when we hire, when we disagree, and when we pick what to ship.
Ship with empathy
We build for the people who use our tools. Every feature starts with understanding real pain, not assumptions or analytics dashboards.
Transparency by default
Roadmap, changelog, decisions, open for anyone. Work happens in the open, including the uncomfortable trade-offs.
Quality over speed
We’re building a bug-reporting tool. If our own product is buggy, we’ve already lost. We take the time to get it right.
Small team, big impact
Every person here shapes the product directly. No layers, no bureaucracy, just builders making things better, every week.
Roles we’re hiring for.
Three seats open right now, all fully remote. Expand a role for the full description.
Own quality and the automation strategy across all of ShotMark: the browser extension, the web app, and the SDK. We're building a bug-reporting tool, so the bar is simple: our own product can't be buggy. You set that bar and build the system that holds it.
What you'll do
- Design and own our end-to-end automation framework (Playwright) across the extension, web app, and APIs.
- Build reliable, maintainable suites and wire them into CI so regressions are caught before release.
- Define the QA process, test plans, and release gates for a pre-launch product still finding its shape.
- Work shift-left with engineering to catch issues at design time, not after they ship.
- Dogfood ShotMark every day and help shape it into the tool you'd actually want as a tester.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years in QA with deep, hands-on test-automation experience (Playwright, Cypress, or similar).
- Strong grasp of testing web apps, browser extensions, and HTTP APIs.
- Comfortable scripting in TypeScript / JavaScript.
- Experience building and maintaining CI test pipelines.
- Self-directed, and comfortable owning quality in an async, early-stage team.
Bonus points
- Visual/regression or performance-testing experience.
- You've stood up a QA practice from scratch before.
